About the Artist
Claire Steele has been an artist her entire life, transitioning seamlessly from ceramics to oils, photography, and mixed media. Always eager to learn, Claire delved into art history to master not only the various mediums but also the history and theory that underpin the beauty of art. Her particular interest in the Northern Renaissance culminated in a thesis on the impact of the Beeldenstorm iconoclasm on the secular Dutch art market.
After receiving her B.A. in Art History, Claire felt a profound need to create. Her experimentation with fluid acrylic art led to an obsession with the medium. Since then, Claire has taken the art community by storm, becoming a pioneer with her innovative ideas and methods.
Fluid acrylics, characterized by the manipulation of low-viscosity paint, are an unpredictable medium influenced by numerous factors: density, force, temperature, pigment interactions, chemical reactions, and more. Through trial, error, and extensive research, Claire has refined her processes to achieve the distinctive style and quality she is renowned for. Her use of natural patterns, deep understanding of color, and bold compositions elevate her work to breathtaking new levels.
Currently, Claire is experimenting with various methods to create figurative pieces that emerge from the intuitive interplay of medium, color, and form.

Claire Steele lives in Utah with her husband, son, daughter, and dog.
